1860 Became a member of the Inst of Mech Engineers, Ironmaster of Parkhead Furnaces, at Dudley.[1]

1861 James Evers Swindell 44, coal and iron master, magistrate, deputy lieutenant for County of Stafford, lived in Upper Swinford, with James Swindell Evers Swindell 17, Mary Letitia Evers Swindell 15, Allan John Even Swindell 14, Agnes Elizh Evers Swindell 12[2]

1866 of Parkhead Iron Works, Dudley

1872 Recorded as being of Cradley Iron Works, Stourbridge by Iron and Steel Institute (but perhaps confused with his son?)

By 1880 of Parkhead and also of Oldswinford, near Stourbridge

1910 Died in Oldswinford Castle[3]
