1854 Advertisement. 'JAMES HART and SON, General Engineers, Agricultural Implement and Machine Makers, Brass and Iron Founders, Brigg and Caistor, respectfully invite the attention of agriculturists and the public generally to their Steam Thrashing Engines, in which boilers of improved principle are introduced, being constructed with flues and water spaces. The flues are arranged so that the flame traverses three times the length of the boiler....'[1]
