- 1929 Purchased the Castle Yard in Port Glasgow
- 1938 Started shipbuilding at Castle Yard
- WWII Repair work
- Post war: resumed ship building.
- 1961 Shipbuilders, repairers and engineers.
- 1966 Opened a 113 m dry-dock.
- 1979 Gave up shipbuilding and concentrated on repair work
