1850 April 9th. Death of Mary wife of JLH, as Goswell Road, London, the fourth daughter of the late James Stephens of Hunderton, Herefordshire. [1]

1851 Living at 2 Rose Villas, North Road, Islington (age 36 born City of London), India Rubber manufacturer, Widower. Living with father James Hancock and nephew Robert Hancock. [2]
