James Watt Boulton (c1858-1923)

c1858 Born the son of Isaac Watt Boulton

1861 Living at Moss Street, Ashton-under-Lyne: Isaac W. Boulton (age 36 born Stockport), Mechanical Engineer. With his wife Ann Boulton (age 36 born Preston Brook) and their five children; Thomas Boulton (age 16 born Manchester), William Boulton (age 11 born Ashton), Helena Boulton (age 7 born Ashton), Percy H. Boulton (age 5 born Ashton) and James Boulton (age 3 born Ashton). One servant. [1]

1881 Living at Stamford House, Manchester Road, Ashton-under-Lyne: Isaac Watt Boulton (age 57 born Stockport), Mechanical Engineer, Widower. Living with son James W. Boulton (age 22), Mechanical Engineer; daughter-in-law Helena B. (age 18); son John J. (age 16); son Harold W. (age 14); sister-in-law Sarah Rassbottom (age 47), Unmarried. One servant. [2]

1898 - 1900 Experimental launch. Boat is 16 ft long, 4 ft 6 beam and the engine is a tandem compound. For more details see The Engineer 1900/06/15.

1901 Boarder at 6 Dee Villas, Chester: James W. Boulton (age 41 born Ashton-under-Lyne), Steam Engine Maker - Single.[3]

1923 January 14th. Died. Of 8 Manchester Road, Cheadle. Probate to his widow Charlotte Ann Boulton.
