1816 Married (1) to Elizabeth Holliday at St. Peters, Leeds. Jeremiah is a Millwright. Witnessed by William Kilburn, Joseph Holiday and Leah Holiday.

1841 Living at Rodley, Leeds: Jeremiah Balmforth (age c50), a Mill Wright. With his wife Elizabeth Balmforth (age c45) and their children Hannah Balmforth (age c15), Holiday Balmforth (age c13) and Emma Balmforth (age c12).[1] Note: Adjoining abodes are William Balmforth, David Smith and Jeremiah Booth who all listed as Mill Wright

1847 December 4th. Married (2) at Leeds to Sarah Potter. Jeremiah is a Millwright.[2]

1851 Living at Rodley, Kirkstall, Leeds: Jeremiah Balmforth (age 61 born Birstall, Yks.), a Millwright and Iron Founder employing 10 men and 2 boys. With his wife Sarah Balmforth (age 54 born Sherborne, Yks.) and their son Holiday Balmforth (age 24 born Rodley, Yks.), a Brass and Iron Moulder. Also his mother-in-law Mary Potter (age 84 born South Milfore, Yks.).[3] Note: Adjoining abodes are Joseph Booth, William Balmforth, Jeremiah Balmforth, John Booth, Jeremiah Booth, and William Booth (2) who are all listed as Mill Wright or Iron Founder. Jeremiah Balmforth and Jeremiah Booth are the ones showing as being employers.
