JOHN-BAPTIST ROBERT GREEN, born on the 16th October, 1887, lost his life by drowning at Wadi Halfa, Sudan, on the 1st November, 1913.

He was trained in the locomotive department of the London and North Western Railway at Crewe, and at the Great Northern works, Doncaster. At the time of his death he occupied the position of district locomotive superintendent on the Sudan Government railways.

Mr. Green was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 4th February, 1913.
