1925 Obituary [1]

JOHN BENNETT PRICE served his apprenticeship in the works of the Haigh Foundry Company, Wigan, from 1860 to 1865, and on the completion of his term spent a further year as draughtsman in the same works.

In 1866 he went to Stoke-on-Trent as leading draughtsman in the works of the North Staffordshire Engineering Co., Ltd., with whom he remained for seven years.

In 1873 he was engaged as head draughtsman and afterwards as assistant manager in the works of Messrs. Stevenson and Co., of the Canal Foundry. Preston, and in 1884 he was appointed sole manager.

Mr. Price died on 6th October 1925.

He became a Member of this Institution in 1889.
