1881 Patent. For Improvements in waggons and trucks.— John Campbell Martin. of Kurhurballee Collieries, East Indian Railway, Mechanical Engineer, at present residing in Calcutta.[1]

1884 Calcutta International Exhibition. 'It is exhibited with a model of the East Indian Railway Company's colliery, by Mr. John Campbell Martin, its inventor, the engineer of the company at its works at Kurhurballee.[2]
