1911 Obituary [1]

JOHN CHAPMAN MOUNT, late Borough Surveyor and Water Engineer of Lancaster, died on the 26th November, 1910.

He served his articles with Mr. Alfred Creer, then Borough Surveyor of Lancaster, and having subsequently acted as assistant to his successor, he was appointed, in 1902, Borough Surveyor and Water Engineer of Lancaster, resigning 8 years later, owing to ill-health. Many important municipnl works were carried out during his term of office.

Mr. Mount was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 6th February, 1894.
