John Croysdale Tannett (1862-1927) of Fullerton, Hodgart and Barclay


1927 Obituary [1]

JOHN CROYSDALE TANNETT was a director of Messrs. Fullerton, Hodgart and Barclay of Paisley, with whom he had been associated since 1892 as a hydraulic engineer and subsequently as managing director.

He was born in 1862 in Leeds and served his apprenticeship with Messrs. Tannett, Walker and Company.

He subsequently obtained further engineering experience in France, Germany, and America.

Mr. Tannett became a Member of the Institution in 1895, and his death occurred on 30th July 1927 at Greenock.
