John Doulton, Brothers and Co, drain pipe makers, 28 High Street, Lambeth and Liverpool Pottery, St Helens, Lancs.

1853 John Doulton junior, drain-pipe manufacturer, 70 Soho St, Liverpool[1].

1867 John Doulton, Henry Doulton and John Duneau Dolton purchased land in the township of Windle, Lancs from David Gamble, manufacturing chemist of St Helen's[2]; further purchases in St Helen's in 1874 and 1879.

1884 Glass bottle makers, earthenware manufacturers and rain pipe makers, Lambeth[3].

1895 Earthenware, stoneware, drain pipe and terra cotta manufacturers, Lambeth and Liverpool[4].

At some point the 3 businesses of Doulton and Watts, Henry Doulton and Co and the independent pipe works owned by Henry's brother, John Doulton junior, were brought together.

1898 Doulton and Co public offer of shares in the company. The company was incorporated on 1 January 1899.
