John Fort (1793-1842) was a British industrialist and Whig politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1832 to 1841
1793 April 09th. Born at Manchester the son of Richard Fort and his wife Anne Bulcock.
1817 Married at Bury to Mary Kay and they had four sons (Richard Fort (1822-1868), James Fort (1824-1906), John Fort (1828-1896) and Lawrence Fort (1838-1876) and four daughters.
1842 April 07th. Died age 49. Of Read Hall and late M.P.[1]
