John Francis Henderson (1873-1941), managing director of the Albion Motor Co


1940/41 Obituary [1]

John Francis Henderson was born in 1873, educated at Blair Lodge School, Stirling, and obtained his B.Sc. at Glasgow University, where he was also Thomson Scholar in experimental physics.

His apprenticeship was served with [McKie and Baxter|M'Kie and Baxter]], Marine Engineers, and Mayor and Coulson, Ltd., Electrical Engineers, both of Glasgow.

He subsequently joined the Albion Motor Co. and became Managing Director in 1901, which position he held for the remainder of his active career.

He died in June, 1941, at the age of 66.

He was elected a Member in 1914 and served on the Council as the representative of the Scottish Centre from 1921 to 5923.
