1918 War service in France; wounded; awarded MC
1919 Returned to City and Guilds College
1921 Awarded BSc Engineering
1922 Assistant to resident engineer J. K. Prendergast for Sir Douglas Fox and Partners on Welsh Highland Railway
Assistant engineer to C. Wolley A.M.I.C.E. for Fox and Partners on dam for hydro-electric power scheme at Dolganog, Wales.
1923 Moved to London office; calculations and design work under Ralph Freeman on tender of Dorman Long and Co for Sydney Harbour Bridge; also worked in Australia on this tender with G. C. Imbault
1925 Assistant engineer at Sir Douglas Fox and Partners in London; proposed for membership of Inst Civil Engineers by Ralph Freeman
1934 Presented paper with Gilbert Roberts about "Calculations for the Steel Superstructure" for the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
1976 Died in Cleveland[2]
