1888 The company bought the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull.[2]

1893 "Glen Garry" Scotch Whisky; Distillery - Tobermory, Mull, Argyllshire; Agents - A. D. Shaw and Co, New York and Chicago.

1915 The business was incorporated as a limited company in England and Wales, John Hopkins and Company Limited, on 15 December.

1980. Part of Distillers Co.

1991 As part of a general tidying-up operation involving former Distillers subsidiaries, the company went into voluntary liquidation.[3]
