John Lord was a 'gifted mechanic' who worked for Fielden Brothers.

c.1804 Birth of Thomas Lord, presumably son of John

c.1808 Birth of Josiah Lord, presumably son of John

c.1810 Birth of Abraham Lord, presumably son of John

1812 Birth of his youngest son, Edward

1835 With six of his sons and financial help from the Fieldens he started a business of machinists at Clough Walsden, which subsequently moved to Canal Street Works, Todmorden - initially John Lord and Sons which later became Lord Brothers[1]

1849 Died in Todmorden[2]
