John Newton Mappin (1835-1913) of Mappin Brothers and Mappin and Webb

1835 October 5th. Born in Sheffield the son of Joseph Mappin

1860 Married in Brixton to Ellen Elizabeth Webb

1871 Living at Blackheath Road, Charlton, London: John N. Mappin (age 35 born Yorkshire), Cutler. With his wife Ellen Mappin (age 31 born Surrey) and their four children; Constance Mappin (age 6 born Surrey); Bertrice Mappin (age 4 born Surrey); Walter Mappin (age 3 born Surrey); and George Mappin (age 1 born Surrey). Seven servants.[1]

1881 Living at Southgate House, Edmonton, Mddx.: John N. Mappin (age 45 born Sheffield), Export Merchant. With his wife Ellen E. Mappin (age 42 born London) and their ten children; Constance Mappin (age 16 born Clapham); Beatrice Mappin (age 14 born Clapham); Walter Mappin (age 13 born Clapham); George Mappin (age 11 born Clapham); Herbert Mappin (age 9 born Blackheath); Stanley Mappin (age 8 born Blackheath); Douglas Mappin (age 7 born Blackheath); Christine Mappin (age 4 born Blackheath); Howard Mappin (age 3 born Blackheath); and Sybel Mappin (age 10 months born Southgate.
