John Rowley (Instrument Maker)
of Fleet Street, London
Regarded as being the first to make planetaria with clockwork movements (orreries). Rowley took over the workshop established by a Mr. Worgan, and in turn the business passed successively to Thomas Wright, Benjamin Cole, and John and Edward Troughton (1782).
