John Scott Junior, shipbuilder

1827 Born son of John Scott III

1856 With his father, carried on the business of John Scott and Sons[1] and Scott, Sinclair and Co as sole partners[2]

1861 John Scott 74, Ship Builder Employing 70 Men & 101 Boys, lived in Greenock with Jane Scott, 59, John Scott 34, Ship Builder Partner, Margaret S Scott 23, Sinclair Scott 18, mercantile clerk, Elizabeth Scott 24, and his grandson Alexander Macfarland 8[3]

After the failure of the business, John Scott disappeared from the ship building business.
