John Stanley having been credibly informed that a certain person in Manchester has for some time past been practising an imposition on the Public, by vending a Machine similar to the one above-mentioned, and for which he pretends to have a Patent, takes leave on the present occasion to assure the Public, that diligent search has been made at the Patent Office, and that no Patent has ever been granted to any person for the Machine in question but to himself; and he hereby gives Notice, that any person who shall, after the date hereof, offer to Sale, or make use of his Machine, or of his propelling Fans, acting either perpendicular or horizontal, or shall otherwise infringe upon his said Patent, will be proceeded against either by injunction, or in such manner may be deemed advisable.
