1808 Born in Todmorden, presumably son of John Lord; of Lord Brothers

1851 Josiah Lord 43, partner of 5, machine maker and cotton spinner, employing 59 men and 3 boys in mechanics, and 5 men, 7 boys and 24 females in cotton mills, lived in Todmorden with Ann Lord 41, Robert Lord 20, Edward Lord 12[1]
