1939 Retired. Adviser on Wireless and Communications Generally to the Home Office. Private Address: 19 Rivermead Court, Hurlingham, S.W.6. Age: 41.

1911-14 Educ.: Bradfield Coll., Berks.

1914 Joined Royal Navy (Special Entry).

1916 Served in Grand Fleet during the War; Jutland. Subsequently as Wireless and Signal Specialist in various appts. afloat, at Signal School, Portsmouth, and at Admiralty.

Retired as Lieut.Cmdr. in 1933. Promoted Comdr. Feb., 1937. Joined Metropolitan Police, 1933, for Wireless and Communication duties; seconded to Home Office, 1936.
