1923 Iliffe and Sons acquired a majority holding in Kelly's Directories[2]

1930 Amalgamated with Associated Iliffe Press[3]; owned over two-thirds of Iliffe and planned to acquire the remainder[4]

1937 With the breakup of Allied Newspapers, Edward Mauger Iliffe acquired the well-established and highly lucrative Kelly's Directories.

1959 62nd AGM was reminded that over 80 percent of the company was owned by Amalgamated Press Ltd[5]

1960 Name changed to Kelly-Iliffe Holdings; Kelly's Directories would continue as a subsidiary[6]

By 1965 Kelly-Iliffe group was part of the International Publishing Corporation[7]
