1971 Kent Castings (Gillingham) Ltd changed its name to Butterley Engineering Industries Ltd[5]
1971 Crittall-Hope, another Slater Walker subsidiary, was injected into Butterley and the group's name was changed to Crittall-Hope Engineering[6]
1974 Norcros acquired Crittall-Hope including Butterley Engineering[7]
