1928 Kryn and Lahy Metal Works Ltd was acquired by George Cohen, Sons and Co[1]
1931 employed about 700 work-people. Also erected some Campbell gas engines.
1933 Perfected a technique for casting high strength steel, making lighter railway wheels[2]

At some point they took over the engine business of Browett, Lindley and Co
