1989 Teleste, Finnish aerial manufacturers and cable network providers, acquired Labgear which was renamed Labgear Cablevision Ltd, expanding Teleste's product range to include indoor amplifiers and indoor aerials[1]

Teleste UK[2] started to build fibre optic cable networks in the UK
