Lavells Ltd., Confectionery and tobacco retailer, of Knightsbridge, London

1933 Incorporated as a public company

1948 Had 55 shops, mainly in London and the South of England[1]

1951 Acquired by William Nuttall Ltd[2]

Sometime between 1951 and 1956 Arthur Guinness and Son acquired the whole of the company[3]

c.1982 After the confectionery interests were sold, Lavells was retained by Guinness as part of a short-lived move into convenience retailing

1987 Guinness sold all of its convenience stores, including Lavells.[4]
