1894 or earlier: Leeds Copper Works established

1899 The company was registered on 20 May, as the English Electro-Metallurgical Co, and took over from Elmores Trust, the assets of Elmores Patent Copper Depositing Co, Elmores Wire Manufacturing Co, Elmores Foreign and Colonial Patent Copper Depositing Co and Elmores American and Canadian Patent Copper Depositing Co, also owning all the patents, processes and improvements of the Societe Francaise d'Electro Metallurgie, working the Elmore process in France, and of the late Monsieur Secretan for all countries France and Russia. 1909 Yorkshire Copper Works established as successor company.
