1888 The Iron and Steel Works at Hunslet were acquired by the Leeds Steel Works Co.
1889 Began manufacturing operations under the direction of Mr. Walter Scott, of Newcastle-on-Tyne, as Chairman of the Company.
1895 Exhibited girders with flanges made with a specially rolled bar under the patent of Messrs Vaughan, Richards and Scott.[1]
1900 Walter Scott Ltd was registered on 4 December, to acquire steel and iron works and collieries, the properties of the Leeds Steel Works, and Walter Scott, both private limited companies. [2]
