1837 'NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, at Bury, in the county of Lancaster, as Engineers, Ironfounders, and Machine-Makers, under the firm of Leese and Diggle, is this day dissolved by mutual consent ; all debts due and owing to and by the said firm will be received and paid by the undersigned Joseph Leese : As witness our hands this 27th day of February 1837. 1837 Auction sale at the premises lately occupied by Mr. Edward Baxter 'situate at Prestwich, (near the church)' included 'THE Valuable UTENSILS, (which are nearly new and in good condition,) and other EFFECTS, comprising five circular cast iron (double) evaporating pans, each 7 feet inches in diameter and 17 inches deep, several large and small iron stoves with piping, very capital twelve horse steam boiler, complete, by Leese and Diggle, of Bury,....'.<ref>Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser, 9th December 1837</ref>
