Lloyds and Scottish Finance

1958 A private company formed to acquire the holding company which had acquired the Olds Discount and Scottish Midland Discount Trust, the hire purchase subsidiaries of Lloyds Bank and the Commercial Bank of Scotland; the company would be owned by the 2 banks[1]

1971 Public company floated; the owners, Lloyds Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland retained most of the shares but offered 12.5 percent to the public[2]

1972 Lloyds and Scottish acquired the British Relay Wireless and Television shareholdings of Associated Television and Reed International[3]

1974 Lloyds and Scottish acquired the shares in BRWT it did not already own[4]

1984 Lloyds Bank acquired all of the shares in the company[5]
