1797 Company established by John Locke and Christopher Blackett

1891 The company was registered on 21 April, to take over the business of the firm of the same name, lead manufacturers and desilverisers. [1]

1914 Lead manufacturers. Specialities: white lead, red lead, shot, chemical sheet lead and pipe. Employees 400. [2]

1929 Taken over by Associated Lead Manufacturers

1933 Gallowgate Lead Works closed.
