1919 Private company formed as Zephyr Carburettors.
1928 Acquired by Automotive Products Co which had gained the manufacturing rights for Lockheed hydraulic brakes. Malcolm Loughead had patented the first hydraulic brakes in 1917.
1934 Name changed[1] to Lockheed Hydraulic Brake Co
1937 Manufacturers of hydraulic brakes and controls. "Aerodraulic", "Airdraulic" Brakes, Controls etc.
1949 Incorporated into the new Automotive Products Associated Ltd
1953 Directors were: E. B. Boughton, E. Emmott, D. T. Brock, A. C. Burdon, N. Spurgeon, E. W. Swales.
1958 Became part of Lockheed Precision Products.[2]
1961 Manufacturers of hydraulic and mechanical brakes and hydraulic braking systems. 4,900 employees.
1963 Motor Show exhibitor. Brake components and other items.
