A steam locomotive designed by Daniel Gooch for the Great Western Railway, one of of the Iron Duke class.

Before entering service was named Charles Russell in honour of a GWR director

1851 exhibited at the Great Exhibition in London.

1852 Whilst hauling the director's inspection train from Paddington to Birmingham, involved in a collision at Aynho railway station.

1884 Withdrawn from service and stored at Swindon railway works until 1906.
