1837 Advert for sale of Boiler-maker's Effects, on the premises occupied by M. Wood, boiler-maker, situate Poland-street, Oldham-road: TWO NEW BOILERS, three old ditto, new boiler flue, large crane with wheel, pinion and chain, two metal blocks, crab crane, four wheeled boiler carriage, bar, scrip, rod, angle, stay, and cast iron; anvils, boiler plates, steelyard, iron wrench, crow bars, three portable hearths, five cast iron pillars, each 14 feet long, steam piping, beam and scales, 17cwt. of iron weights, grindstone and frame, hand cart, wheelbarrow, and smiths' and boiler-makers' tools. .....[1]
