Magnalite pistons pistons are manufactured from magnalium metal which is declared to be especially adapted for piston construction, as it has a tensile strength greater than that of ordinary cast iron; one-third lighter weight than the more commonly used metal, and a thermal conductivity of fourteen to one as compared with iron.
