1962 Closure of the Martineau refinery at Whitechapel following the opening of a new refinery at Hammersmith. Formed a subsidiary Manbre Sugars Ltd to take over the Hammersmith refinery; the parent company became a holding company[2]
1976 Acquired Hugh Baird and Sons[3]
