Marconi-Elliott Computer Systems
1969 Formed after the merger of GEC and English Electric Co. Marconi-Elliott Computer Systems incorporated parts of Elliott Space and Weapon Automation and Marconi and GEC-Elliott Automation[1]. It was to be a company a company outside the divisional structure, responsible for development of computers for non-data processing applications, including the existing Elliott 900 and Marconi Myriad computers; the English Electric 2140 and AEI Com-Pac computers would remain in production by the appropriate GEC-Elliott Automation businesses[2]
