1969 As a result of the major reorganisation of AEI and English Electric after they were acquired by GEC. In electronics, GEC-Marconi Electronics was created; Marconi Communications Systems was one of its 4 subsidiaries. It included the broadcast, radio, line, space and mercantile communication activities of Marconi Co as well as its specialised components work, the communications division of GEC-AEI (Electronics) and Eddystone Radio[1]
