1962 The Farmers' Meat Company Ltd acquired the manufacturing business of Marsh and Baxter Ltd as part of a diversification move. FMC was launched as a public company; the business of the Corporation was sold to FMC's wholly owned subsidiary, FMC (Meat) Ltd[1]
