Martin Atock (1834-1901)
1834 Martin Atock was born in Preston the son of George Attock (sometimes written Atock), a coach maker[1]

The family moved to Stratford where his father later became Carriage & Wagon Superintendent of the Eastern Counties Railway.
Martin became a locomotive draughtsman at Stratford

1861 he became Locomotive Superintendent of the Waterford and Limerick Railway.
1872-1900 He was Locomotive Superintendent of the Midland Great Western Railway in Ireland from 1872 to 1900. [5]
1901 Martin Atock 66, retired civil engineer, widower, lived in Killiney, Dublin with Amy Isabel Atock 30, Florence Bostock Atock 26[6]
1901 He died in Killiney on 28 Novemebr 1901.
Several members of the Atock/Attock family were involved in railway engineering, including his son Thomas Atock on the MGWR and his younger brother Frederick Attock of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway.
