Founded in 1830 at Preston.[1]

Moved to the Lion Brewery, Coniston Road, Blackburn in 1927, following the acquisition of Nuttall and Co.[1]

Acquired by Scottish and Newcastle in 1987 and ceased brewing in 1991.[1]
