1868. Meyer-Guilmet Bicycle. From 'Bartleet's Bicycle Book'.

1869 Andre Guilmet improved the design of the bicycle by locating the cranks between the wheels (instead of on the front wheel as on the velocipede) and driving the back wheel by a chain. The first example was built by Meyer[1]. Eugene Meyer?
