Mike Costin, Technical Manager, Lotus Cars Ltd.

1929 Born July 10.

Educated at Salvatorian College, Harrow.

Technical training at the de Havilland Aeronautical Technical School, Hatfield

Following National Service, joined The de Havilland Aircraft Co., Ltd., as design draughtsman on test rigs for aircraft systems

1953 joined Lotus Cars, Ltd., engaged on overall design and development of Lotus range of cars.

1958 With Keith Duckworth, established Cosworth Engineering

1962 Completed his contract at Lotus and moved to Cosworths.
