1933 Midgley Leighton Ltd changed its name to Midgley Harmer Ltd.

Manufactured an amplifier and loudspeakers and a radio gramophone designed by Albert Henry Midgley.

WWII Midgley Harmer Ltd designed and manufactured fuses for bombs, including the W-bomb used by the RAF, and the fuse for the Barnes Wallis Tallboy bomb.
