1950 M. C. L. and Repetition and Wilcox and Lines Ltd were acquired by Midland Bright Drawn Steel and Engineering Co Ltd which wanted to broaden its range of business[1].

By 1957 also owned Diamond Screw and Cotter Co Ltd and A. E. Godrich and Son Ltd

1961 Manufacturers of bright steel bars, used in manufacture of small parts of motor car, nut and bolt and engineering industries. 100 employees.

1967 One of the larger steel companies not subject to nationalisation[2]

1969 Midland Bright Group was acquired by General and Engineering Industries[3]
