1954 The Mitchell Engineering Group included[1]:

1954 The Mitchell Wagon Marshalling System was in use on British Rail and National Coal Board sites for organising railway wagons.

1956 Formation of joint venture with AMF Atomics Inc of USA to equip nuclear power stations[2]

1958 Formed consortium with Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Co to design and build nuclear powered merchant ships[3]

1963 Announced a design of a light water reactor with steam cooling which they regarded as superior to the integral boiling water reactor.

1963 Announced intention to float Mitchell Construction Co [4]

c.1971 receiver appointed. John M. Henderson and Co was acquired by Hambros which brought the company to market[5]
