1954 11th AGM held at British Vacuum Flask Co's works at Liverpool. Another subsidiary was at Keighley. Name changed from Rothermel Corporation[1]

1955 New headquarters at Alfred Place, London WC1; would wind up Rothermel Ltd and Hassid, Austin and Co Ltd; formed MEC Transmissions Ltd to exploit Italian development of a constant velocity joint; the American connections were rewarding the company as it supplied components to most electronics companies in the country[2]

1957 Simms Motor Units took over Motor and Electronics Corporation[3]. Name changed to Simms Motor and Electronics Corporation[4]
