1962 Muirhead and Co acquired Addison Electric Co[4].
1964 Company reported an "era of opportunity" although Addison's results were disappointing but expected would improve with pick-up in cable industry[5].
1965 Brown Brothers and Co marketed a new form of ship stabilizer, the Muirhead-Brown Controlled Tank Stabilizer, invented by John Bell, engineering consultant of Muirheads[6].
1968 Demonstrated facsimile transmission with GEC.
1972 Acquired Vactric Control Equipment[7] and Integrated Photomatrix
1979 Established Muirhead Office Systems
1981 Company reported a substantial loss; closed the Morden factory[8]
1985 Maker of facsimile machines and electronic components, especially for the defence industry; received bid from RHP[9], which was soon successful.
